Crafting of a Tattoo
The inspiration for this back design came after one of many sessions of getting tattooed by Mike Roper. One of the great perks of being tattooed by Mike is meeting his other clients, which also includes other world class tattooers, and to top it off, seeing his elusive work in person. These living and breathing tattoos in full dimension never ceases to blow me away. As a tattooer, I sometimes get that sinking feeling of being defeated; exposed as an impostor. Leaving a two hour session I sometimes hear the devil on my shoulder whispering- just give it up. Then, later, I’ll reflect on the encounter and go back to the drawing board, determined to craft the best tattoos that I can, feeling inspired by it all.
